Glass recycling is good for the environment; it is efficient and sustainable; it conserves our natural resources and saves energy; and it reduces the need for landfill expansion.

Given the overcrowding of our landfills, and the impact landfills have on our environment, many communities are struggling to avoid landfill expansion or the construction of new landfills. Yet today, only about 10 to 12% of our glass is being recycled....and a glass bottle can take up to a million years to break down in a landfill.

Glass containers may be recycled over and over again with no loss in purity. Plus, every ton of glass that is recycled can save up to one ton of natural resources.
