What else can I use blast glass abrasives for?
If you’re not in the sand-blasting or construction industries, there are still many uses for this product.  Tumbled glass is gaining popularity as a landscaping material.  Course ground glass is ideal for pool filtering systems.

What is Silicosis?
Silicosis is a respiratory disease that is caused by breathing the silica dust created by sand blasting with silica sand.  This dust will scar lung tissue, creating permanent lung damage.

Why does sand produce dangerous silica dust and recycled glass abrasive does not?
The silica in sand is not completely in crystalline form.  There are some loose silica molecules that break away in the blasting process.  In recycled glass abrasive media there are no loose silica molecules to break away and create a lung hazard.  See OSHA's website
